Hair Loss and Gut Health Connection

Are you experiencing hair loss? Do you feel like you have tried everything? You may have overlooked one important factor: YOUR GUT HEALTH. Gut health plays a significant role in how the body functions. If there are imbalances in the gut then deficiencies can occur. This can prevent you from having the flowing tresses you desire. Our hair is a reflection of what is going on inside of our bodies. When you look at the root cause of health conditions a compromised gut almost always plays a role. “Dysbiosis” which means imbalanced gut bacteria is very common and most people have no idea they have it. The gut has good bacteria and bad bacteria and when the bad guys outnumber the good guy's problems occur. Due to the standard American Diet, most of us have more of the bad bacteria that cause imbalances to occur. This can lead to a lack of proper nutrient absorption, leaky gut, autoimmune conditions, acne, hair loss, eczema, depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc. So what is the solution? Get a stool test which is a snapshot of your current digestive health. “GI MAPS” by Diagnostic Solutions is considered the Gold Standard in testing for gut imbalances. If you have not had a stool test I highly suggest you do so. This is not a test you can find from your regular GP. It can be ordered from a Functional Doctor.

In the meantime, one of the best remedies for supporting digestive health is drumroll please .... BONE BROTH!

Bone broth works wonders in improving gut health.

When I healed my gut issues (Candida and Leaky Gut) I would drink 3-4 cups a day. It worked so well. And it is rich in collagen, which also promotes beautiful hair, skin, and nails. Focusing on decreasing processed foods and sugar while increasing whole fresh vitamin and mineral rich foods that support good gut health such as vitamin C, magnesium, zinc, selenium, vitamin D, B vitamins, and probiotics, will also work wonders for improving your gut health. These steps can dramatically make a positive shift in your health and beauty.

I wish you so much success and good health.
