You are in for a treat! Did you know that banana bread made with healthy ingredients can encourage glowing skin? I created this delicious and nutritious banana bread to be full of skin loving nutrients.
Its so tasty that I can't stop eating it!
I have included all the details below that makes this banana bread so beautifying for the skin, hair and nails.
What I love the most about this banana bread is that you can't even tell that it's gluten free and sugar free. That makes it more enjoyable and healthier to eat all the time! Most recipes say that they are sugar free and then add some alternative "natural sweetener" but my recipe is only sweetened with bananas.
During the cooler months I find myself making this recipe every week because its just so good. You could say I've gone bananas for banana bread!
As always I used my favorite non toxic cookware because I want my tasty banana bread to be rich in nutrients while avoiding the toxins that conventional cookware leeches into food. Did you know that toxins from cookware can accelerate the aging process?

Here are some of the beauty benefits of this delicious banana bread recipe:
Banana's are loaded with potassium and manganese that encourage healthy skin from within. They also support healthy weight loss due to their rich fiber and water content.
Pastured raise eggs have significantly more vitamin A, E, Vitamin D, and omega 3 fatty acids than conventional eggs. These skin loving nutrients help repair skin, reduce inflammation, and slow oxidative damage that can harm skin. Egg yolks are so important for optimal brain functioning and healthy skin hair and nails. Please don't skip out on the yolks!
Cinnamon is rich in antioxidants that help to fight free radical damage and help slow the aging process. Cinnamon helps stabilize blood sugar levels which has a direct correlation to skin health. It is very important to maintain balanced blood sugar levels for healthy skin, mood energy, and cognition.
Coconut oil is incredible! The benefits are endless. Here are a few skin benefits that coconut oil delivers: Rich in antioxidants that can slow the signs of aging, supports hormone balance which has a direct correlation to skin health, reduces inflammation, rich in healthy fats that help to plump up the skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Walnuts are rich in antioxidants, minerals and healthy fats that help to support healthy skin from within.
Okay now that we have seen how real food made with healthy ingredients and non toxic bakeware can support our health and beauty let's whip up some delicious beauty food banana bread!
4 small/med very overripe bananas
Make sure the bananas are very ripe so they provide extra sweetness since this recipe does not have any added sugar.
4 large eggs room temp
Use organic pastured raised for the most nutrient dense eggs.
(I like to use Ceylon cinnamon because its extra rich antioxidants)
** If you us the non toxic bakeware like I did then double the recipe and increase the cooking time by 30 min. Make sure its golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2.) Whisk together all wet ingredients in a bowl until well combined
3.) Slowly stir the dry mixture into the wet. You will want to do this by hand until there are no lumps. Do not use an electric mixer it will prevent the batter from rising properly.
4.) Pour mixture into greased baking dish.
I like to use grass fed butter to grease the dish.
5.) Let bake for 45 minutes until golden brown. Use a toothpick or fork to insert into the center of the loaf of bread to ensure it is fully baked. If it comes out clean with no wet batter it is ready to be removed from the oven. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
Have a slice or two!
Once its warmed up I like to spread a tiny bit of raw organic honey on it for a bit of extra sweetness and beauty benefits. Raw organic honey is so amazing for our health and skin hair and nails.
I really hope you enjoy this delicious and nutritious skin loving banana bread. I'm already on my third slice today!
