How To Make An Herbal Face Steam

Glowing Skin Herbal Facial Steam. Get your glow on!! Let your natural beauty shine through your with the relaxing and healing aromas of herbs If you’re looking for a natural way to, draw impurities out of your skin, relieve congested skin, reduce acne, hydrate and soothe skin, calm the skin, increase circulation, and take your self care practice up a notch, you’re in for a treat!

Herbal facial steams of one of my favorite ways to release impurities from the skin while having a moment of pause to breathe in beautifully scented healing herbal aromas. It is quite a beautiful experience.

How to create a natural spa experience at home:

  • Bring a pot of filtered water to a boil

  • Reduce to a simmer + herbs of choice (for your skin type)

  • Let simmer 2 min

  • With freshly cleansed skin, drape a towel over head and let the beautiful herbs work their magic for 8-10 minutes

  • Follow with a clay mask for even better results or simply tone and moisturize as normal

Herbs for sensitive skin

  • Rose

  • Calendula

  • Lavender

  • Comfrey

Herbs for acne prone skin

  • Rosemary

  • Eucalyptus

  • Sage

  • Peppermint

Herbs for oily skin

  • Rose

  • Rosemary

  • Raspberry

  • Sage

When possible choose organic loose herbs and store in mason jars You can create your own gorgeous blend based off your skin type. If you are not able to get loose herbs you cut open tea bags and the herbs can be used for a facial steam.

If you like add a a few drops of your favorite essential oil too!

I’ve been enjoying this for years and it has been such a beautiful practice that I always look forward to.

Afterwards tone and moisturize as normal.

I love to tone with rose water and apply my favorite facial oil for healthy for healthy glowing skin
