How to Switch To a Non Toxic Beauty Routine

Set a Budget

How much do you want to spend on replacing your beauty items? Stick to your budget as you can always add new items slowly. There is no need to stress or overspend. Any healthy swap will decrease your toxin intake and have a positive influence on your health.

Identify Your Values

Identify the values you are seeking in a non-toxic beauty routine. Do you want them to be organic, natural, vegan, gluten-free, or paraben-free? There are so many non-toxic beauty brands that cater to different needs.

Don't Stress Start Slowly

No need to stress or overspend. Any healthy swap will decrease your toxin intake and have a positive influence on your health.

Research Ingredients

Research the ingredients of the non-toxic beauty products before you commit to buying them. Do not take a company's word that they are non-toxic, greenwashing is at an all-time high. Greenwashing is when a company claims its products are more natural than they really are.

It is our responsibility to research the ingredients we use in our beauty routine and to have a deep understanding of how they may be influencing our health. Knowledge is power.

Lip Products

Start first with your lip products because when we eat we have the potential to consume our lip products. It is estimated that the average woman consum4 lbs of lip products yearly. Also, it is such an easy switch to high-performing because pretty much every non-toxic brand has really high-performing lip products.

Face + Body Products

Next start by replacing the products that cover a large portion of your face such as skincare + body care, foundations, facial powder, blush, and highlights. These have a higher chance of causing harm since they are applied in greater quantities on the skin.

Try Sample Or Travel Sizes

A lot of companies offer sample sizes of their products which is a great option to explore without spending too much.

Self Love

Switching to non toxic beauty is an act of self-love. You are reducing the number of toxins your body will have to process and in return, you will look and feel healthier

Return Policy

Try brands that have a good return policy in case you are not satisfied. A lot of people have no idea that there are so many non-toxic beauty brands because most of them are online and don't get the recognition they deserve. However, a lot of them have amazing customer service and return policies. Always check out their return policy before committing to a product.
