10 Tips to Boost Happiness Naturally

There is no one size fits all when it comes to increasing happiness naturally however it is essential that we take the time to figure out what works best for us. Addressing some of our limiting beliefs, unhealthy lifestyle habits and overall health can make a major difference.

These simple tips can increase feelings of happiness when practiced regularly.

Let Go of the Fear of Growing Older

Age is just a number and should be embraced for the wisdom, maturity, and beauty that it brings. Women are gorgeous at every stage in life. It is so sad that at the beautiful age of 30, many women believe they are "old." Imagine spending the next 70 years of your life feeling bad about your age. That is enough to make anyone feel less happy.

Let go and embrace your inner and outer beauty at every age.

Keep the Promises you Make to Yourself

One of the foundations of confidence and happiness is being able to trust ourselves. If we can’t trust ourselves then who can we trust?

People who follow through with the promises they make to themselves whether that be eating healthy, exercising, or doing something that will benefit their future self regularly feel more confidence and happiness.

Believe in yourself and keep the promises you make, your inner child is rooting for you.

Speak to yourself like Someone you Love

How we speak to ourselves has the power to shape how we feel in our daily lives. Each time you look in the mirror pay attention to see if you criticize yourself. Instead replace your words with positive and loving words that honor who you are. Your body believes what the brain tells it. If you practice speaking to yourself with loving words, you will feel happier and be able to exude more love out into the world.

Spend Less Time On Social Media

If you are constantly scrolling on social media, your mind can be easily manipulated. Generally speaking, it can be easy to fall into the comparison game on social media because everyone is showing the highlights of their life.

Take a step back, take breaks, and take the time to reconnect to REAL LIFE.

Do What Makes You Happy

In a world that constantly tries to tell us how we should look, act, feel, and think, now more than ever we need to tune in and listen to ourselves.

Everyone always has an opinion (most of the time it is not asked for) and it is up to us to do what makes us genuinely happy. Listening to ourselves will help us to feel happier and more confident. Boundaries are everything!

Reduce your Exposure to Toxicity

Unhealthy products and negative people can influence how you feel. Limit your exposure to both.

Decrease the amount of time you spend around negative people as they can influence your mood.

Unhealthy products can add to the body's toxic load and influence your mood over time.

Take note of the areas of your life that need adjustments.

Eat Healthy Food

Food has the power to transform how we feel. If your body is not receiving the necessary vitamins and minerals it needs to function of course you will not feel your best. Make a point to increase more fresh fruits, vegetables, complete proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of water into your diet each day.

You will be amazed at how much better you will feel.

Focus on your Gut Health

A healthy gut is vital. Did you know that 90% of serotonin is made in the digestive tract? That means an unhealthy gut, which is very common these days due to processed foods, excess stress, and environmental toxins, can be the culprit of many mood-related disorders.

Work with a trained professional who can order lab tests to check for gut imbalances. Test, don't guess.

Move your Body Regularly

Moving the body can help to increase feelings of wellbeing, provide energy and encourage a healthy glow. When we are sedentary it can lead to poor health and low mood. Aim to move your body in a way that you enjoy at least a few times a week.

Get Plenty of Sunshine

The sun is so good for us. We need it to function and to encourage a positive mood. Spend at least 20 minutes in the sunshine every day so your body can synthesis vitamin D.

I hope these wellness tips help you and inspire you to try a few new healthy habits each day. It is the small practices that can add up over time and lead to big results. Every amount of effort is worth it. Cheers to good health!
