The seasons are changing, can you feel it? The Fall season is upon us and its a beautiful time to honor our bodies changing nutritional needs. As the cooler months approach, dense warming foods and spices are a wonderful way to sustain our energy and support digestion.

Pumpkin spice leaves us feeling oh so nice! Let's take a look at some of the nutrient benefits of consuming this tasty beauty food breakfast.



Oats

Rich in antioxidants that help combat free radical damage to the body and skin. Rich in fiber that supports healthy detoxification and elimination. Oats are wonderful for supporting balanced blood sugar levels. Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels throughout the day is very important for healthy skin, mood, and energy levels. Supports healthy weight loss.


Chia Seeds

Rich in beauty minerals, vitamins, fiber, and healthy fats and protein! Packed full of antioxidants that help to protect the skin and encourage a healthy glow. Chia seeds help to balance blood sugar levels. They are also very energizing!



Cinnamon

Rich in antioxidants that encourage the skin to appear more youthful and radiant. Supports healthy blood sugar balance. Helps to reduce inflammation.


Ginger

Supports healthy digestion. A healthy gut is extremely important for the health of the whole body and skin. Rich in skin-loving minerals for a health glow.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups organic oats. It is important to choose organic oats because conventional oats are heavily sprayed with pesticides and weed killer

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, or milk of choice.

  • 2 cups organic pureed pumpkin from can.

  • 2 Tbsp chia Seeds.

  • 2 tsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice.

  • 1 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice.

  • 2 Tbsp collagen powder


Directions


1.) In a large bowl, combine the oats, almond milk, pumpkin puree, chia seeds, maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice.


2.) Mix well. Cover and store in the fridge overnight, or until set.


3.) Once set, divide into jars and top with your favorite healthy toppings!


Enjoy cold or warm. I love it warm. I add a splash of a plant based milk and heat it on the stove top
