Homemade Sweet Potato Chips

Homemade baked sweet potato chips.

3 ingredient healthy snacking!

I have always been in love with chips. Something about them is just so satisfying. The crunch and flavor always has me wanting more. Unfortunately, most of the chips on the market are fried with unhealthy oils that can cause heath issues. I always like to come up with healthier options for my favorite foods.

Sweet potatoes are nutrient dense and delicious! These healthy chips are baked and made with healthy oils that encourage beauty from within.

  • large sweet potato

  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil (You can use olive oil if you prefer. I like coconut oil because it gives the chips a buttery flavor)

  • Salt to preference, sea salt


1.) Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

2.) Line baking sheets with parchment paper

3.) Use a mandolin to cut sweet potatoes into paper thin circles. A knife can also be used. Make sure to slice them very thinly

4.) Add all sweet potato rounds into a large bowl and pour oil on top. Sprinkle with sea salt. Gently toss, coating each sweet potato with oil.

5.) Lay sweet potato rounds on the baking sheets in a single layer

6.) Bake for 20-25 minutes until crisp and golden around the edges. They are ready when crispy around the edges.

7.) Remove from the oven. Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheets.
